Castlbar is also close to several golf courses and there are some great horse riding hire facilities. Castlebar is also a place you can take the family and feel safe. Around Castlebar you will find some of Irelands famous tourist attractions. Westport is 15 minutes drive away. Westport is one of Irelands? tidiest town and thus keenly well preserved. It’s also a tourist haven as it’s the main town beside Crough Patrick, which is Ireland’s most famous mountain Beasue St. Patrick went up there for 40 days and nights, and banished all the snakes from Ireland. Just 25 minutes from castlebar is Achill island a stunning island accessible by car featuring several large cliffs with stunning views across the atlantic.The drive is named the atlantic drive.
